Scholarships

The scholarship committee was established as just one of the methods through which MPDCI strives to enhance the daily lives of people with cystic fibrosis. To this end the Onkoi Benek Fund provides financial assistance for the various MPDCI programs.

Camper Scholarships

MPDCI will consider a dollar stipend for children with cystic fibrosis to attend a licensed youth camp organized for recreation, education or adventure.

Educational Grants

Limited funding is available to help defray the costs of undergraduate study. Funds may be available to pursue educational opportunities for development of special skills or talents, and in some situations to provide assistance in assuring grade level work is maintained when threatened by recurrent hospitalizations or extended absences.

Lung Transplant Assistance

The "Scholarship Committee" is also charged with evaluating requests for assistance with lung transplant expenses. MPDCI recognizes that costs associated with transplant procedures may not be totally covered by even the best insurance programs.
